Centsible Clippers - A Wichita Coupon Clipping Service

A coupon clipping service is a service that finds, sorts and clips coupons then mails them to you. There is a fee associated with getting coupons from a coupon clipping service but the fee is not for the actual coupons, the fee is for the time the service put in to finding the coupons, clipping them and sending them to you.

These services are great for people who don't have the time or the patience to cut and sort coupons but still want to save money on their shopping trips. This also gives people a way to get only the coupons they want without having to sort through the rest of the coupons that come in a Sunday paper.

By using a coupon clipping service, you are able to order multiple copies of one coupon to stock up on that particular item. It is also possible to find coupons that are "regional" or not available to your area.

There are many of these services available on the Internet so look around and see what suits your needs but I recommend Centsible Clippers. They are local to the Wichita area, offer local pick up and a "simplified pricing structure" which means they are only charging $0.20 per coupon.

They do have a Facebook page and are doing a coupon insert giveaway right now. Once they reach 100 "Likes" on Facebook, they will do 3 separate drawings for 20 sets of inserts!

New Recipes!

In my 2/15/11 post, I mentioned Hungry Girl.  I've been receiving her emails for several years and really enjoy her tips and swaps.  She now has a show on the Cooking Channel.   Tonight, I made 2 different recipes (complete recipes can be found HERE)...

181 cal, 3.5 fat, 2 fiber
This recipe is VERY simple.  It's 1 can of pure pumpkin (I used Libby's) and 1 box of devil's food cake mix - nothing else.
I HATE pumpkin.  I know that hate is a strong word but ,seriously, I couldn't even deal with the smell/texture when I opened the can.  I was really afraid that these would taste like pumpkin, the batter kind of did.  BUT, THEY DIDN'T AT ALL!  I was pleasantly surprised.

Very, very good.  I'm snacking on some right now actually.

I bought one of Hungry Girl's books about a year ago and had bookmarked several recipes but had not tried to make any until now.  After seeing how easy they are to make on her show, I decided it was time to try some.  I'm looking forward to making more (and sharing pictures, of course)!!

Wal-Mart's New Coupon Policy

This is directly from Wal-MartStores.com:

Walmart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
The following are guidelines and limitations:
  • Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.
This means that they WILL ALLOW OVERAGE!  I guarantee (and have experienced) that all Wal-Mart employees are not familiar with this policy so taking a copy of the policy is advised.
My sister-in-law and I went to the Wal-Mart at Pawnee and Broadway Saturday night and we were hassled about it.  The manager came over and wasn't very nice about it.  We pulled out our policies and started explaining that this is a recent change that does allow overage (the fact that we had to explain their policy to them is unfortunate in my opinion but... yeah).  The manager was still very hesitant until we stated that we pulled this information directly from their corporate website then he backed off a bit telling the cashier to go ahead and accept our coupons.  My sister-in-law's total was in the negative but to not confuse the cashier anymore, she picked up a package of gum.
So, I don't have experience in getting change back and I'm not really sure how they would do it but, it was nice getting everything I got for $1.50!
