When signing up for freebies, there are a few things you should know:
- Avoid Spam! Sign up for an email address from a free email provider like gmail, yahoo or hotmail only for your freebies. This way, your personal email will not fill up with all kinds of junk mail. All of the offers I've signed up for via either one of my favorite blogs or a freebie site (listed below) are legitimate but, I do get lots of spam in the "coupon email" address that I set up.
- Read the fine print before signing up for anything.
- NEVER *EVER* give your SSN for freebies! This should be obvious but I just thought I would reiterate. :o)
As mentioned above, the blogs and coupon sites on the right side of my page list freebies pretty much daily but, I also get emails from freebie websites. My wonderful sister-in-law, Amber, introduced me to these sites and both of us have received all kinds of stuff for free - dog food, lotion, feminine hygiene products, Pull Ups or GoodNites, etc.
There are also a couple of other sites that I've signed up with that I like a lot:
House Party - This site is pretty cool! You can join this site and they will send you emails about upcoming events that are sponsored by popular brands. After you submit an application for an event, they will email you back to let you know if you are selected to be a host. Once selected, you set up your party and invite friends. Before the party, they will send you a package containing everything you need for your party. I hosted a Stouffer's Toasted Sub Party last year and I received napkins, a pot holder, a note pad, tote bags and LOTS of coupons. Like I said, it's pretty nifty! This is what I got from them for a Philly Cooking Creme House Party:
Kraft First Taste - This website is place for you to read reviews by other members about different products. Sometimes they will ask you to review a product and participate in surveys. I have gotten samples and coupons from this site. I check it periodically to see what's new!
P&G Brand Sampler - LOVE this site! About every 6 weeks or so, they'll update their site with different coupons, samples and offers. It's usually pretty good! I have received samples of shampoo, conditioner and other things. There's always coupons in the little "care package" they send too! Here is a picture of what I got from them recently:
I will try to keep my front page updated with freebies and offers that I find but in case I fall behind, check with these sites and I'm POSITIVE you'll find something you're interested in!
